PETRA JEAN PHILLIPSON

Petra Jean Phillipson Artist, Singer Songwriter, Shamanic Sound Healer & composer for Film “Barrage” Directed by Laura Schroder. Filmed as Kasabians Priestess in “Bless this acid house” Petra has 58 releases to date, with performances at Glastonbury, Jools Holland, St Paul’s Cathedral and Stavanga Concert Hall. Including musical collaborations with Michael Orminston, Sixto Rodriguez, David Holmes, Nel Catchpole, Martina Topley Bird and Duke Garwood.  Currently working with live re-score of music film “Weather The Storm” by Skylark & the Scorpion produced by Nick. J. Webb & Directed by Photographer Finlay MacKay.

She has produced in the round performance of Solo LP “Notes on Death”with Bhuto inspired elemental dance, Immersive Sound Healing work “Into the She” invites the audience to lay back within gold lame pyramid to absorb its divine feminine activating sounds. Co Pioneering SOUND AND SPACE Brighton’s 1st Sound Healing Centre with a focus on deep listening, healing & oral traditions. Petra is an ecologist, activist & is deeply dedicated to her work with in the community to inspire social change & empower the people in these changing times.
