Coming from the major label perspective and having worked for Sony for over 12 years, Eberhard Kromer says he has now a much broader view on how money is made in the entertainment world. As a legal advisor, Eberhard has represented a wealth of artists, labels, publishers, managements, tour operators, digital service providers, authors, and probably any other player in the field of creating and distributing music. Furthermore, he has set up his own royalty audit company, MediaJust GmbH Services, gives lectures at various universities and is also co-founder of a German initiative to protect and support artist’s interests in the digital world, because, as he puts it “If content is king, the creators of content have to be masters of ceremony. To be master you have to stay on top of things.”
