Pedro Winter (born in Paris in 1975) is a French music producer and DJ (Busy P), an internationally renowned icon of the electronic scene, awarded with the ‘Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts et des lettres’ in 2016. He grew up in an environment marked by alternative cultures, Skateboard, Heavy Metal and Hip Hop. It was at the very beginning of the 90s that he discovered raves and electro, notably with the release of the track “What is love” by Deee-Lite. A fan of Kraftwerk, Led Zeppelin and Run DMC, this mix of genres would become his signature, and he soon began to mix in Parisian clubs (Folie’s Pigalle, le Palace).

Between 1996 and 2008 he was the right-hand man of the Daft Punk duo. It is with them that he learned the trade. Between 1998 and 2011 he maintained a fraternal relationship with his accomplice Dj Mehdi with whom he travelled around the world, producing his records and accompanying the career of the genius who sadly left us far too early.

In 2003 he created Ed Banger records and launched the careers of acts such as Justice, SebastiAn, Breakbot and Uffie, Dj Mehdi, Cassius and Mr Oizo. Pedro Winter and his artists have brought France to the four corners of the globe. For 25 years, Pedro has been an activist for French electronic music, the New York Times calling him “French Touch ambassador” (2012). In 2018 he turned towards Art Direction and event design by setting up a new Pedro’s Boutique structure.
