GUIDED TOUR: THE BLAST FURNACE AND CITY OF SCIENCE

The tour starts in the Massenoire (Black mass) building with a presentation of the development of Belval and Cité des Sciences (City of Science) followed by a walk leading to place des Hauts Fourneaux (the Blast Furnaces square) and to the furnace viewing platform at 40 meters high (180 steps). In the end, you will know more about the blast furnaces operation, the production of cast iron, and the second life of the industrial remains within the new university neighbourhood.
